TJ has always worked on technology that will let us finally understand how protein motion enables function.
Previously: Ph.D Stanford/Pande Lab, running simulations on Folding@home. SLAC conducting time-resolved crystallography experiments at the LCLS, the world’s first hard x-ray laser. Leading an academic group at DESY, pushing time-resolved crystallography and understanding large crystallographic datasets.
Now: protein responses to ligand binding, via CHARM’s in-house structures and corresponding ML models. TJ is helping close the feedback loop betwen structural sciences and ML at CHARM.
