Interim CEO & Executive Chair
Gary D. Glick serves as Interim CEO & Executive Chair at CHARM Therapeutics. He has an extensive track record as a serial biotech entrepreneur and academic leader and is also Founder and CEO of Odyssey Therapeutics.
He previously co-founded and has served as CEO of IFM Therapeutics, which achieved remarkable success with two major asset sales: cancer program to Bristol Myers Squibb for over $2.3 billion in 2017, and the NLRP3 subsidiary IFM Tre to Novartis for $1.6 billion in 2019. His entrepreneurial journey also includes founding Lycera Corp (where he served as President then CSO) and First Wave Bio, a clinical-stage company developing cost-effective inflammatory bowel disease treatments.
Gary maintains his position as Werner E. Bachmann Emeritus Professor of Chemistry at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where he began his career as a faculty member. He holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Columbia University and completed postdoctoral research at Harvard University. His unique combination of deep scientific expertise and proven entrepreneurial success in developing modulators of innate immune system proteins for cancer and inflammatory diseases positions him at the forefront of next-generation therapeutic development.
