Briggs Morrison serves as Chief Executive Officer at Crossbow Therapeutics whilst maintaining his role as Entrepreneur Partner at MPM BioImpact (formerly MPM Capital).
His executive leadership experience spans senior roles across major pharmaceutical companies, including CEO of Syndax Pharmaceuticals, Head of Clinical Development at Pfizer, and Head of Global Medicines Development and Chief Medical Officer at AstraZeneca, following his earlier tenure at Merck & Co., Inc.
Briggs brings extensive drug development expertise, having guided numerous biopharmaceutical products across diverse therapeutic areas from initial human studies through to worldwide regulatory approvals. He currently sits on the boards of Carisma Therapeutics, CRISPR Therapeutics, and Werewolf Therapeutics, while advising multiple private biotechnology firms.
His academic foundation includes a B.S. in Biology from Georgetown University and M.D. from University of Connecticut Medical School, followed by Internal Medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and Medical Oncology fellowship at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where he also completed postdoctoral research under Lee Nadler, as well as with Philip Leder at Harvard Medical School.
